Tecno Spark Go 2021 will reach India on July 1

Tecno is running to improve its brand among global markets and is focusing in India as a key market. The Transsion Holdings-owned brand has been known for launching cost-effective and super-budget smartphones across Asia and Africa. Now, Tecno is starting to venture into the premium segment with the newly revived Tecno Phantom series. However, the company will still deploy new affordable smartphones for those who want to see a nice package of specs at a low cost. Last year, the company revealed the Tecno Spark Go 2020 under its entry-level segment. Now it is starting to tease the Tecno Spark Go 2021 which will go official in India as soon as July 1st.

Tecno confirmed some of the key specifications of the upcoming Tecno Spark Go 2021. The device will be sold exclusively through Amazon India. Ahead of the launch, the e-commerce giant has made the micro-site. Based on it, we can notice some of the aspects of the Tecno Spark Go 2021. The device will feature a water-drop notch display a dual-camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery.

Tecno Spark Go 2021 specifications

Amazon listing goes further by revealing more details of the handset. The device will come in three colorways and will pack a 6.52-inch HD+ display. This probably is an LCD with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate. Otherwise, Tecno would be making a buzz about a high-refresh-rate. Unfortunately, hardware specifications of the smartphone such as processor, RAM, and storage details remain a mystery at the moment. Considering Tecno’s well-established partnership with MediaTek we can expect an Helio chip to be present here. It could be an Helio G80, or in the worst case an Helio G35. The device should start with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of Internal Storage. We also expect it to pack a microSD card slot allowing for further memory expansion.

The image also confirms that the handset has a dual-camera setup. It’s a 13 MP primary camera and an unspecified secondary sensor. Probably this a low-res module that will just work as a Portrait / Depth module. On the front side, there is an 8 MP camera taking care of the selfie purposes. Interestingly, the device has a LED flash on the front. We expect it to run Android 11 OS straight out of the box. It may even be the Go edition due to the “Tecno Spark Go” name, but we expect the company to confirm whether is this the case soon.

The device will draw powers from a 5,000mAh battery that charges via a USB Type-C port. It also sports a fingerprint scanner on the back. It’s a 4G LTE device with Wi-Fi 5. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack and full GPS support.
