Realme GT Master series and Realme Book launched – everything you need to know

Realme wants to celebrate the impressive 100 million smartphone sales milestone. In a bid to celebrate this with its fans, the fastest growing smartphone brand announced it is expanding into the affordable high-end smartphone segment. The first smartphones coming under this segment are the Realme GT Master Edition and Realme GT Explorer Edition. These cost-effective flagships have been available in China, and now are hitting Indian and the Global markets. In addition to the new smartphones, the company is also expanding into the laptop category for the first time with the Realme Book. The laptop brings a  2K display with a very minimalistic, yet premium, design. This is an important step forward for Realme and shows the commitment to building its 1+5+AIoT ecosystem with a richer suite of products.

Realme GT Master Edition Series – The best-designed flagship of 2021

The Realme GT Master Edition series fuses design elegance with technical prowess. The Realme GT Master Edition Series seeks to elevate the youth’s capacity to explore and create, empowering them with a high-end handset that is as affordable as it is exceptional.

Inspired by the importance of travel to young people’s lives, Realme tapped the renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to design the GT Master Edition Series. He crafted the products with a unique design influence in mind – suitcases. In addition to its unique shape, the back of the phone comes to reflect a suitcase’s undulating grille, being the first concave vegan-leather design in smartphone history.

Flagship-level performance

Inheriting the flagship performance of the realme GT Series, the GT Explorer Master Edition is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor with up to 12GB of RAM. The GT Master Edition uses the Snapdragon 778G 5G processor with up to 8GB of RAM. GT Master Edition Series supports the Vapor Chamber Cooling System inherited from the flagship killer realme GT. This enables both phones to easily handle powerful gaming experiences.

Realme GT Master Series – Top-Notch Cameras and High-Quality Displays

Besides its formidable performance, the realme GT Master Edition Series also features a 32MP Sony selfie camera; meanwhile, the GT Explorer Master Edition features a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera with OIS while the GT Master Edition comes with a 64MP main camera. This powerful combination ensures the image will remain crisp and vivid from day to night, portrait to landscape, but users can enjoy the first-ever street photography mode, bring users with fixed focus and street photography filters, which are only seen on pro street photography DSLR cameras.

The devices will be a jewel for media content due to their stunning 120Hz Samsung AMOLED screens. GT Explorer Master Edition uses a 56-degree curved display. It also offers 10240-level brightness adjustment and HDR10+ support. For enhanced media experience, the device supports Dolby Atmos Dual Speakers and Tactile Engine.

Realme GT Master Series – Pricing and Availability

The Realme GT Master Edition starts from 399 USD for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The high-tier 8GB + 256GB set you back 449 USD. The price of realme GT Explorer Master Edition will start from 499 USD for the 8GB + 128GB version. The 12GB + 256GB prices will cost 549 USD.

The Realme GT Master Edition will be available on AliExpress from 23rd, August. There will be a special promotion for the 6GB + 128GB which will start from 299. The  8GB + 256GB prices will start from 339 USD.

Realme Book – Realme’s first laptop

After many leaks and teasers, Realme is finally here with its first-ever laptop – the Realme Book. The new device comes to offer a set of good specifications, gorgeous design, and crispy display at a lower cost. The device is encased in a super slim 14.9mm metal body and is available in the beautiful Blue and Grey colorways.

The Realme Book features a 14-inch 2K full vision display offering 400 nits peak brightness. The screen comes in the 3:2 aspect ratio which can show more information than traditional 16:9 screens.

Realme Book boasts the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135 G7 processor, There is also a variant with Core i3 CPU. The former has up to 3.8 GHz clock speed and ensures great performance for everyday tasks and even moderate gaming. The device is equipped with a dual-fan Storm Cooling System. It ensures that even commanding games run flawlessly. The device is paired with up to 16 GB of Dual-Channel LPDDR4X RAM, up to 512GB PCIe SSD storage. It also comes with Realme’s signature 65W fast charging. The battery is said to provide up to 11 hours of battery life.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the device comes with 1x thunderbolt 4/USB 4 ports(i5 version only), 1x 3.5mm earphones port, 1x Type-A port, 1x Type C port, The Realme Book also supports the new Wi-Fi 6 technology.

The Realme Book features 2 HARMAN speakers, which support DTS HD stereo sound effects, Dual Mic Noise Cancellation, perfect for online working and studying.

“PC Connect” feature also enables users to sync their phones with their laptop and experience the former’s rich applications with ease, making work and study even more convenient. Windows 10 Pre-installed and users can expect a future update to Windows 11.

In terms of the user interface, the laptop comes with a three-level backlit keyboard with a 1.3 mm key travel and a 2 in 1 Fingerprint Power Button.

Realme Book – Pricing

The price of the Realme Book will start from  749 USD. That amount will get you the Core i3 variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB Internal Storage. The i3 version with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB Storage costs 799 USD. When it comes to the Intel Core i5 version, the 8 GB + 512 GB variant prices start at 969 USD. The variant with 16 GB + 512 GB will set you back by 999 USD.

Realme Fan Festival coming soon

In addition to the new products, Realme also launched its 3rd-anniversary party made of the Fan Festival 2021. It comes with the “How Dare You Be You” theme.

The campaign comes to celebrate the restless spirit of those who dare to live their own truths despite the judgments and obstacles they may face. With this statement, Realme empowers fans to turn negative external noise into positive empowerment.
