The Vivo X60 series was released in December last year and is now due for an upgrade. Vivo has been preparing the terrain for its new Vivo X70 series that for now will consist of – Vivo X70, X70 Pro, and the Vivo X70 Pro+. The company is likely to unveil a Vivo X70t and X70t Pro later, but this initial launch will probably focus in the three conventional devices. Ahead of the launch of the smartphones, they have leaked in a set of press renders revealing the design. Now, key specifications have been revealed with some interesting details.
The specifications were revealed on Weibo by the Bald Panda leakster. He also mentions the colors the smartphones will be available in.
The Vivo X70, which will be the cheapest of them all, will pack a 6.56-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. Vivo will ship the smartphone with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. However, it will get an Exynos 1080 variant at a later date. When it comes to the cameras, there will be three modules. The main camera is a 40 MP unit, and there are two 12 MP /13 MP sensors. The Vivo X70 also has a slightly bigger 4,400 mAh battery with support for 44W fast-charging.
The phone also packs a Z-axis motor, a single center-aligned punch-hole, and an infrared scanner. The dimensions of the device are 158.5 x 73.4 x 8 millimeters and the weight is 185 grams. The device will sell in three colorways – Black, White, and Aurora. The Aurora variant will have an AG finish.
Vivo X70 Pro
The Vivo X70 Pro will also pack the 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. It also has the very same 4,400 mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The changes start in the camera setup and processing unit.
The Pro variant ditches MediaTek for a Samsung Exynos 1080 processor. That’s the very same chip found on the Chinese X60 series variant that never left China. In addition to this processing unit, the X70 Pro packs four rear cameras. There is a 50 MP main camera, two 12 MP / 13 MP sensors with one of them having 2x optical zoom. The device also has an 8 MP periscope camera with 5x Optical Zoom.
The device will be bigger in terms of dimensions. It will measure 160.5 x 75.5 x 7.7 mm and is lighter with just 181 grams. The device will also be available in Black, White, and Aurora colors.
Vivo X70 Pro+
The X70 Pro+ will be the flagship that Vivo fans are waiting for. The top-tier model gets a 6.78-inch curved OLED display with 10-bit support, 120 Hz LTPO refresh rate, and a 2K resolution.
According to the leakster, the handset will boast a Snapdragon 888+ instead of the previously rumored vanilla SD888. This can effectively make the device more powerful than some flagships released before the half of the year. The device also has a slightly bigger 4,500 mAh battery that offers 55W fast-charging support, and 50W fast wireless charging. The device also is the only one with an IP68 rating.
Things get even more interesting when we look at the camera specifications. The main camera here is the 50 MP Samsung GN1 sensor which comes along a 48 MP IMX598 sensor. There is also a 12 MP camera, and an 8 MP periscope camera with 5x Optical Zoom. The device is also said to pack Vivo’s V1 Image Signal Processing unit.
The dimensions of the Pro Plus model are 165 x 75.5 x 9 mm but the weight wasn’t revealed. This variant comes in Black with AG finish, Orange with Vegan Leather, and Blue with Plain Leather.
