Precautions for Huawei P10 HarmonyOS 2 internal beta

  • Please make sure that your mobile phone version is 9.1.0.231. Please to upgrade the baseline version, go to Settings > System > Software Update. In addition, you can also use the “My Huawei App > Upgrade Early Access > Check Now”. Furthermore, another upgrade method is accessing “My Huawei > Service > Quick Service > Upgrade Early adopters”. These are the only available options for upgrading for now.
  • During the internal test on the Huawei P10, turn on the user experience improvement plan switch. To switch it on, go to Settings > System and Update > User Experience Improvement Plan. This will enable Huawei engineers to conduct system/application analysis, fault diagnosis, etc., and continue to improve the version quality
  • Please back up all important data to PC or cloud before upgrading, and confirm that the backup content is complete. Otherwise, there may be a risk of data loss
  • Some third-party applications are not compatible with HarmonyOS. These apps will not work normally. They may experience crashes, freezes, as well as power consumption issues. Huawei recommends that you check these apps in the Huawei application market if they are up to date. If not, then you may have to wait for an update of these applications.

HarmonyOS 2 currently has over 120 million users

At the Huawei nova 9 series conference in September, He Gang, chief operating officer of Huawei’s consumer business and president of Huawei’s consumer business mobile phone product line, announced that the number of users of Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2 system upgrade has exceeded 120 million.

According to reports, as of now, over 100 Huawei and Honor models are running HarmonyOS 2. In the near future, Huawei HarmonyOS 2 will be open to upgrades for more models, including many old smartphones and tablet products from Huawei and Honor. Furthermore, considering the speed at which the company hit 100 million HarmonyOS 2 users, it has now raised its target. Huawei now targets to release this system for 400 million devices before the year runs out.
