Vivo Watch 2 Design Leaked Ahead of Rumored Late 2021 Launch

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo made its smartwatch debut via the Vivo Watch and it seems that the company is getting ready to try its hand at the popular branch of technology once more, with the Vivo Watch 2.

Prior to any official announcement from the company, details in relation to the smartwatch has been leaked online, with ithome reporting that the images of the Vivo Watch 2 have been leaked via the Vivo Sports Health app to provide a look into the design of the smartwatch.

The image reveals that the design is similar to the original Vivo Watch. This news comes after a spotting on the TENAA certification site, which gave us insight on the key specifications of the upcoming smartwatch.

What Do We Know About the Vivo Watch 2?

The Vivo Watch 2 will feature an OLED screen with a round dial with a higher than usual screen-to-body ratio. The body will likely be a 46mm one, going up from the 42mm variant which was subject to less than ideal battery life due to the 226 mAh battery on the original Vivo Watch.

In terms of other specifications, reports suggest that the Vivo Watch 2 will pack in a 501 mAh battery in comparison to the 476 mAh battery on the larger Vivo Watch. Triple-SIM eSim connectivity with eUICC chips is also expected, with reports suggesting support for a voice assistant and Bluetooth 5.1.

As of now, there has been no official announcement from Vivo in relation to the Vivo Watch 2, with the only bit of information coming via this leak. We will have to wait for the launch of the Vivo Watch 2 to know more about the watch.

For those curious, the original watch came to markets in September of 2020, so the next iteration is likely coming before the end of the year.

In other Vivo news, the Chinese technology company has quitely expanded its well-received Y-series lineup by launching the Vivo Y76s in China.

Ahead of its official launch, the smartphone the China Telecom website with key specifications. Aside from that, the listing spotted by PlayfulDroid gives us a glimpse of the handset’s awe-inspiring design even before Vivo unveiled it.

The recently unveiled Vivo Y76s sports a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display that offers a Full HD+ (2408 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Moreover, the screen delivers an aspect ratio of 20:9, coupled with a 60Hz refresh rate.

The phone’s thickness is 7.79mm and it weighs only 175 grams. In the optics department, the phone houses a 5MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera along with an LED flash unit at the back. For selfie addicts, the Y76s features an 8MP front shooter.
