Vivo’s system, OriginOS Ocean was officially released today and it brings a couple of features. According to the company, this system comes with a new visual design, user interface as well as strong privacy features. The company completely redesigns the home screen. It now has better customizations, rounder UI elements, and more colours.

The OriginOS Ocean allows users to easily redesign the icons and switch the icon size. The redesigned icon and text layout provide large, medium, and small icon sizes. It also has a temporary storage area and folder system.

Furthermore, the company redesigned the control center, notification center, global search, and display interface. In the control center, users can now access the battery information, network status, and sensitive permissions at a glance.

Furthermore, the OriginOS Ocean comes with newly-designed minimalist icons, theme replacement, and official wallpaper access. The wallpaper colour is smart and the global icons are more attractive. The company also upgrades the visual style notifications and it adds a few colours to make it attractive. Furthermore, the notifications will appear in the status bar in a lighter capsule form. When users are reading and browsing on any interface, they can see important notifications in real-time without leaving the current page.

In the lock screen interface, Vivo integrates the camera, payment, and travel apps. There is also a layout design around the fingerprint recognition area, which greatly improves user efficiency. According to reports, OriginOS Ocean also brings memory management, instantaneous start-up, and atomic startup engine. This can reduce unnecessary memory usage by system running processes. The new system optimizes the animation engine such that they respond to the latest operations swiftly.

OriginOS Ocean comes with privacy improvements

In terms of security and privacy, OriginOS Ocean has a built-in atomic privacy system. This system brings functions such as data minimization, privacy end-to-side processing, and biometrics. User data does not need to be uploaded to the cloud for processing. This better protects the user’s privacy and information. Simply slide down to enter the control center and view specific information with respect to privacy.

Vivo also optimizes its camera by integrating a series of features such as natural saturation, hue saturation, hue brightness, contrast, and exposure. This is the first time that the camera application will come with these features. Users only need to simply slide their fingers up, down, left, and right to access stylized effect adjustments.

Furthermore, Vivo OriginOS comes with a new “Atom Walkman”. This is a new design of the music interface. The colours and shapes on the music panel will display different styles according to the music type and playback status. The buttons and background colours on the interface also support customization on the settings page.

This new system also comes with a child protection feature. This function offers a wide range of features for parents. Parents can have access to relevant information when the child uses the smartphone. Furthermore, Vivo claims that the OriginOS Ocean vision protection can correct children’s bad habits in time.
