Samsung will officially release the Samsung Galaxy S22 series early next year. As the launch date for the release of this flagship series draws closer, more information is hitting the web. In recent times, there has been a couple of information regarding Samsung’s upcoming models. According to Sammobile, the display of the Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will have higher brightness. The report claims that the display breaks the OLED brightness record. However, not all the models in this series will have this new upgrade. Only the two top models will have this new display.

The brightness of the AMOLED panel of the 6.1-inch Galaxy S22 will maintain the screen brightness similar to that of the Galaxy S21 series. The standard brightness and excitation brightness are about 1000 nits and 1300 nits. The Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will get this upgrade with higher product positioning. Both smartphones will have the same display brightness and characteristics.

“Peak brightness level” refers to the highest level of brightness that can be achieved when the display in auto mode is enabled. In an environment that is too bright—usually outdoors, the peak brightness is automatically activated.

“Standard brightness level” represents the maximum brightness of the display in manual mode. It does not increase the brightness level in the lighting/outdoor environment. This means that the peak brightness level should always be higher than the standard (manual) level.

At present, the official has not officially announced the release time of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series. @iceuniverse claims that the flagship of the series “may arrive in the last week of January”. However, some reports claim that Samsung’s upcoming flagship will be official at the beginning of the year. There are also reports that Samsung will announce this flagship at the beginning of February. For now, the only certainty we have is that the company will release the Galaxy S22 series in  Q1 2022.
