MIUI 13 details – degrades by only 5% after 3 years of use

MIUI 13

Earlier today, Xiaomi officially announced that the MIUI 13 will be officially released on December 28th. This means that the company will release the MIUI 13 at the same stage as the Xiaomi 12 flagship series. According to the company, MIUI 13 focuses on three core technologies. MIUI 13 focuses on focus computing, atomic memory, and liquid storage. These areas get full upgrades which significantly improves the system fluency relative to MIUI 12.5 enhanced version.

The liquid storage and atomic memory of MIUI 13 are adapted to the latest platform. Xiaomi claims that after 36 months of continuous use, the read and write performance degrades less than 5%. According to the official, after half a year of optimization, MIUI13 has improved fluency by 15% – 52%. The system also improves system application fluency by 20% – 26% and the frame drop rate now goes more than 90%. Thanks to this, MIUI13 ranks first among all mobile phones in Master Lu’s Android fluency evaluation.

It is worth mentioning that the focus computing 2.0 used by MIUI 13 not only perceives full-screen gestures and core scenes but also tilts computing resources to core system applications and core third-party applications. This greatly improves the use of these applications in terms of fluency.

Speculations so far claim that the Xiaomi 12 may pre-install the MIUI 13. However, there is official information from a Xiaomi executive that the Xiaomi 12 will pre-install this system. However, we already know that popular flagships will get this update first. The first batch of devices to get MIUI13 includes Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11, and Redmi K40.

Xiaomi took to Weibo this morning to officially tease the MIUI 13. The poster seems to reveal some design elements of MIUI 13, including curves, squares, perspective, flattening, and color. According to Xiaomi’s VP, Chang Cheng, Xiaomi 12 series will arrive with MIUI13 out of the box. Furthermore, he claims that the MIUI 13 system comes with many upgrades.

On Weibo, Lei Jun also launched a vote to solicit netizens’ inclination to improve MIUI. Before the deadline, “Smoothness and non-stuck” ranked first, followed by “fewer bugs, fast bug fixes”, and again “good-looking and easy-to-use interaction”.

The previous generation MIUI 12, including MIUI 12.5, caused some complaints among users, and Lei Jun also stated many times that the MIUI team is making every effort to optimize and adjust. Considering that the Xiaomi 12 slogan is “fast and stable”, the new system, as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, must make this device smooth.

From the appearance of the Xiaomi 12 on GeekBenck 5, the MIUI13 system on Xiaomi 12 is based on Android 12.
