After a long time of speculation, Oppo finally introduces its Oppo Reno 8 series in Europe. The Reno 8 and 8 Pro are landing in the old continent and mark the first design change in the Reno series since the Oppo Reno 4 series. The devices also bring compelling specifications and a lot of Oppo’s technologies. They are hitting the old continent alongside the affordable Oppo Pad Air tablet. They are similar to the Indian variants.

Oppo Reno8

The Oppo Reno 8 and 8 Pro pack the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 and 8100 Max SoCs, respectively. The first is an evolution of the last year’s Dimensity 1200, while the second is basically MediaTek’s response to the Snapdragon 888 series, being made on a 5 nm process and with flagship-level performance. Both devices pack AMOLED screens with up to 120 Hz refresh rate. The Reno 8 has a 6.4-inch panel whereas the Pro rocks a 6.7-inch diagonal.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro

In terms of optics, both devices pack Sony 50 MP IMX766 camera and 32 MP selfie shooters with RGBW tech. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is the only one with the MariSilicon X Image Processor for deep AI capabilities. Both devices come with 80 W fast-charging Super VOOC technology.

Pricing

The Reno 8 has an 8 GB / 256 GB variant with a price tag of €600 price tag. The 8 Pro, on the other hand, costs €800. The device has the same 8 GB / 256 GB configuration, but its superior chipset and camera setup justify the price difference. Interestingly, in the UK, these devices cost £420 and £600, respectively. However, currently, the Pound has a higher value.

Oppo Pad Air

Worth noting that the budget tablet, the Oppo Pad Air is also being launched in Europe. It’s a massive tablet with 10.4-inch and that carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. As you can see, it’s a budget tablet in terms of performance, but you can enjoy multimedia and study with it due to this massive panel. The device’s price starts at €300 for the variant of 4 GB and 64 GB. There is a higher variant with 128 GB storage that costs €350.
