Oppo reveals MariSilicon Y, Air Glass 2 and more at Inno Day 2022

The day has come for all Oppo enthusiasts across the world. The company kickstarts its annual Inno Day event. To those unaware, the event serves as a stage where Oppo discloses all its upcoming innovative products and technologies. The company uses the event to disclose new devices, new tech coming with these devices, and sometimes to showcase upcoming technologies. The event started with the reveal of the MariSilicon Y NPU, the OHealth H1 health monitor, and the Air Glass 2 AR glasses.

You may think that the MariSilicon Y is here to replace to the MariSilicon X NPU, well, that is not the case. The X was the second custom-developed chip from Oppo, and the Y is the third. But, the MariSilicon Y is not a successor to the NPU, it’s a Bluetooth Audio System on a chip.

The Oppo MariSilicon Y uses the N6RF process tech. It allows for a 50% increase in Bluetooth bandwidth over the solution on current chips. The chip can transmit 24-bit / 192 kHz lossless audio over Bluetooth. As per Oppo, this is the first of the industry.

Next is the Oppo OHealth H1 health monitor. It’s the first under the OHealth sub-brand. It can show a family member’s blood oxygen, perform an ECG (electrocardiogram), heart and lung auscultation. It can also show the heart rate, and body temperature, as well as track your sleep. The product weighs just 95 grams with an oval design and rounded edges. It uses Oppo’s Health algorithms to deliver accurate information. You can also share the monitor’s data with clinics, hospitals, and doctors.

The last product in today’s portfolio was the Oppo Air Glass 2. The new take on Assisted Reality glasses brings some significant improvements. The Air Glass 2 weighs just 38 grams and features a robust design. According to Oppo, it uses the world’s first resin SRG-diffractive waveguide lens. These lenses support vision correction, while the frames will be further customizable. Oppo Air Glass 2 will allow you to make calls, conduct real-time translation, give location-based navigation, convert voice into text for people with hearing impairments, and more.

There is much more to come during the Inno Day 2022 event. Despite the name, it’s a multi-day event and the better is yet to come. As per rumors, the company will use the event to disclose its new foldables Oppo Find N2 and Find N2 Flip. There are also rumors about the brand’s robot dog.
