The eyes of Samsung fans are certainly watchful at the imminent Galaxy S23 series reveal. However, Samsung has more to reveal in the next weeks, besides new flagships. We’re talking about a smartphone, that will probably sell a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy S23 series – the Samsung Galaxy A54. The Galaxy A5x series figures as Samsung’s best-selling phone every year, for that reason, the Galaxy A54 is expected with great anticipation.
Today, a new certification means the phone is one step closer to its release. The device got approval from the FCC regulator. Thanks to the listing, we got some of its details confirmed. The phone bears the SM-A546E model number with a battery capacity of 4,905 mAh. Moreover, the phone will support 25W fast charging. The charging is not a surprise, after all, Samsung keeps its conservative approach when it comes to charging speed. Even the flagships Galaxy S23 and S23+ will stay limited to 25W, while the Ultra is getting 45W which is the maximum Samsung’s flagships ever got.

Samsung Galaxy A54 battery details confirmed
We believe that the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G will use the 5,000 mAh capacity for marketing purposes. The 4,905 mAh amount certainly is the rated capacity, while the typical capacity might be 5,000 mAh. There are even some rumors pointing to a 5,100 mAh typical capacity. The FCC listing confirms the phones with the Samsung EP-TA800 adapter. That’s Samsung’s 25W Power Delivery USB-C charger. As per the rumors, the phone’s retail box probably will skip the charging adapter.
Perhaps not all users will appreciate the CPU inside of the Samsung Galaxy A54. The company will stick with the Exynos CPU for the new phone, this time around, it will bring the Exynos 1380. The base model should offer 6 GB of RAM, and we expect another one with 8 GB. The phone will run Android 13 straight out of the box. We’re curious to see if it will come with One UI 5.1, after all, the new skin will be introduced within the Galaxy S23 series.
Since the Galaxy A53 was introduced in March last year, we expect the Samsung Galaxy A54 to also come in March. This time around, the phone will not come alongside a Galaxy A74.
