Realme GT3 launches on February 28 with 240W charging

Realme GT3

Earlier this month, Realme unveiled the Realme GT Neo5 with 240W charging. The brand pushes the current limits of the USB Type-C technology with a device that charges in less than 8 minutes. The device is a very good flagship killer when we look at the specifications. The downside is that it remains exclusive to the Chinese market, but that seems to be changing soon. Realme will take the wraps of the Realme GT3 smartphone during the MWC 2023 in Barcelona. So, the global markets will soon get the same 240W charging through the new device.

Realme GT3

We have been wondering about the release of a new Realme GT series smartphone to succeed the Realme GT2 and GT2 Pro. The first smartphone is coming, but we’re not sure if it will be a totally original phone. Realme never rebranded a Realme GT Neo series phone, but there is always a first! As per the rumors, the Realme GT3 may end up as the global variant of the Realme GT Neo5. This is just speculation at this point, but we would not be surprised to see this confirmed.

Gizchina News of the week

The Realme GT2 came with the Snapdragon 888 which was the predecessor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. So, a possible Realme GT3 could easily come with the SD8+ Gen 1 that precedes the SD8 Gen 2. That’s the same chipset inside the Realme GT Neo5. Also, the Realme GT3 has not been seen in any leak, which is strange in the current industry. Realme used to launch GT Neo series phones on the global scene, but at this point, we can’t discard a rebrand.

In fact, there is a detail that may confirm the Realme GT3 as a rebranded Neo5. The latter has an RGB Led at the rear that forms an incomplete square. If you look at the invite above, we have the same light square.

Realme GT3 alleged specifications

If the Realme GT3 is a rebranded Neo 5, then we know what to expect. The cost-effective flagship packs the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and has up to 16 GB of RAM with 1 TB of storage. The phone has a triple-camera setup with a 50-Megapixel main camera, an 8-Megapixel ultrawide, and a 2-Megapixel microscope shooter. The smartphone has a 16-Megapixel selfie snapper. Moreover, it has a 6.78-inch OLED screen with up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 2,772 x 1,240 pixels of resolution. The device also has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-side NFC, and IR Blaster. The 240W charging version comes with a 4,600 mAh battery
