Honor 90

Let us now take a look at the major details of this new mid-range mobile phone.

Honor 90

Design

At the launch event, Honor Labs revealed that the HONOR 90 exudes class and elegance. The design of this device is inspired by haute couture and luxury jewellery. This device is 7.8 mm thin and weighs only 183g. The Honor 90’s body is not only smooth but its edges are also very round. This gives it a sleek feel that makes it easier to hold. On the display, Honor uses Deeply Reinforced Glass that offers protection against sudden falls and gives users some sort of confidence. At the rear, HONOR 90 features the iconic N Series classic Dual Ring Design. The round element with exact cutting tech gives this device an excellent appearance that adds to the elegance of the device.

Display – offers a sleek viewing experience

On the display end, this device comes with a 6.7-inch Quad-Curved Floating Display with a high resolution of 2664 x 1200. The display also supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 1.07 billion colours. With a high adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, the display is super fast and can automatically adjust with respect to the use condition. This is a power-saving feature that is used in flagship mobile phones in both the Android and iOS camps.

The company claims that this combination will bring visual content to life in stunning colours and clarity. In terms of brightness, this device has 1600 nits brightness which allows it to be readable even in very bright conditions. The HONOR 90 also supports HDR10+ support and HDR certifications from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This means that users will get a pretty good display experience in any setting.

The Honor 90 also comes with TƜV Rheinlandā€™s Flicker Free Certification which states that it achieves a risk-free dimming level. The display also supports the industryā€™s highest Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Dimming frequency of 3840Hz. At this level, it reduces the strain it puts on usersā€™ eyes when it is set at low brightness. Furthermore, this device comes with Dynamic Dimming that mimics natural light. This helps to eliminate eye fatigue. Another tech used in this device is the HONORā€™s Circadian Night Display tech. This helps to filter blue light and brings a natural melatonin secretion. It helps to improve user sleep quality at night.

Processor & Battery – a matching combination

This mobile phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition. This chip has a 20% better GPU and 30% better AI performance compared to its predecessor. With this improvement in performance, the company packs aĀ  large 5000 mAh battery on this device to support all-day use. According to Honor, on a single charge, the mobile phone can provide up to 19.5 hours of continuous local video streaming. Honor also said that this device supports its 66W SuperCharge. The company claims that the charging capacity can give a 45% charge in just 15 minutes. The charging power does not lead to heating, many thanks to its 147% larger vapor chamber. This gives an efficient heat dissipation that allows the HONOR 90 to stay cool.

Camera

The triple camera system consists of a 200MP Main Camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide and macro camera with a 112Ā° field of view, and a 2MP Depth Camera that helps the camera accurately gauge distance. The 200MP Main Camera produces excellent high dynamic range (HDR) photos and detailed, bright shots in low-light situations. It also supports multi-frame fusion, a noise reduction algorithm and pixel binning. This helps it to achieve a light-capturing performance.

The camera of this device also supports the new Portrait Mode. This includes the 2X zoom portraits to deliver imaging results that better highlight the subject in the frame. Honor assures users of exceptional portraits with the new portrait mode upgrade.Ā For selfies, there is a good 50MP camera.
