Discover the Exciting Upgrades of Oppo ColorOS 14

Oppo ColorOS 14

Oppo has officially unveiled ColorOS 14. The brand has already rolled out the global beta version to some of the regions. And among all the devices, the Oppo Find N2 Flip will be the first to receive the stable version in mid-November.

That said, the Oppo ColorOS 14 isn’t just about visual upgrades. The custom ROM also brings a lot of improvements to deliver a smooth and better experience on the Oppo devices.

What’s New on Oppo ColorOS 14

As mentioned earlier, Oppo ColorOS 14 brings a handful of upgrades to the table. Here’s a brief description of all the main highlights:

Upgraded Trinity Engine

Oppo ColorOS 14 brings upgraded Trinity Engine to Oppo devices. With ROM Vitalization, the OS can now compress file and app data more efficiently. To be exact, it can offer up to 20 GB of storage savings on a typical phone. It also comes with a better RAM Vitalization feature.

That swaps out the RAM mechanism of Android with one that’s more adept. Thanks to that, Oppo ColorOS 14 can properly manage the background apps that are kept in RAM.

The last component that the Trinity Engine of ColorOS 14 brings is CPU Vitalization. It balances the power usage and performance of the chipset, offering a smooth overall experience.

Smart Charging System on ColorOS 14

With the power of an AI algorithm, Oppo ColorOS 14 can effectively manage the charging on devices. It can adjust the charging current by considering whether the device is being used and how it is being used. This will eventually reduce the battery wear and tear, elongating its lifespan.

Picture Keeper and Smart Image Matting

Oppo ColorOS 14 brings privacy features for photos stored in the devices. Privacy keeper offers extra permission for accessing select videos and photos on the device. On the note of photos, the new OS also brings Smart Image Matting, which can crop out multiple animals and people out of a photo.

Smart Touch on Oppo ColorOS 14

With the new Smart Touch feature, Oppo ColorOS 14 makes it easier to select text, videos, and images from third-party and native apps. The selected gets collected to the File Dock.

File Dock on ColorOS 14 is like a clipboard that enables the users to stash content to use later. It is synced between the connected ColorOS devices. That means whatever you select with the Smart Touch on your Oppo phone will be available on your Oppo Pad too.

Quick Access Features

Oppo ColorOS 14 now enables users to keep more widgets on the shelf. For example, it’s now possible to keep the Snapchat widget on the shelf. This will give you an at-a-glance update on new statuses, messages, and other notifications that you generally receive from the app.

Polished User Interface

As you can expect from an updated OS, the Oppo ColorOS 14 brings an improved user interface. It now comes with polished and standardized elements. Oppo calls it Aqua Dynamic Design, which brings a collection of common capsules, bubbles, and panels. These pop up from the status bar to offer functionality without being too distracting.

Moreover, the on-screen content and status bar are now painted with the Aquamorgraphic Coloring system. This system picks the most suitable hues by considering the time of the day. You can get an idea of the dynamic nature of the hues from the picture attached below.
