Redmi K70E teased with MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra

Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has started the marketing campaign for the upcoming Redmi K70E series. The new smartphone will be the next contender for the affordable flagship series and will launch alongside the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro. These devices stand as Redmi flagships and are touted to bring the best possible specifications. According to Redmi itself, the Redmi K70E, which will be an entry model in the lineup will include the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC.

Redmi confirmed today through official teasers the presence of a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra variant in the Redmi K70E. Once again, Xiaomi partners with MediaTek to deliver a unique chipset to its smartphone. What that “Ultra” stands for, for now, stands as a mystery. However, we can already say that its performance should be different from that of the vanilla Dimensity 8300. Interestingly, the Redmi K70 passed by benchmark with the same chipset. So we will see this Dimensity 8300-Ultra will be present in at least two devices of the Redmi K70 series.

Besides the confirmation of the new chipset, Redmi also took the opportunity to tease some benchmark scores. The Redmi K70e scored impressive 1,526,328 points in the AnTuTu benchmark. Obviously, this does not says much for everyday usage, but we can at least, use it as a parameter for performance. The brand also teased that the upcoming phone’s temperatures will remain cool after one hour of gaming on a “open-world” demanding game. According to the tests, the phone keeps the temperatures on low 25-degree Celsius and achieves 58.86 FPS at the same time. Therefore, this phone should be a decent option for Redmi fans that can’t afford more expensive flagships like the recently-released Xiaomi 14 series.

Surfing on the new trend of AI, the company also confirmed generative AI will be onboard to help you with real-time closed captions. It will also generate sentences and photos based on prompts. The new phones will run HyperOS straight out of the box and will launch by the end of November.
