Moto G24: Specifications and Pricing Revealed Ahead of the Launch

Moto G24

With a whole new year upon us, many smartphone brands are preparing a wave of new smartphones to fill the market in the next months. Motorola is no exception. The brand that has a relevant presence in the mid-range market is gearing up to introduce a bunch of Moto G-series smartphones in the international markets. Among these new devices, we already know the company is working on a Moto G24, a Moto G24 Power, and a Moto G04 smartphone. These were spotted in multiple certifications ahead of their debut. Now, the trusted tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore shared the details of the forthcoming Moto G24 in partnership with Appuals. Without any surprise, the specifications confirm the Moto G24 is aiming at the low-end market.

Moto G24 – Specifications Detailed

The Moto G24 will be a low-end smartphone for less demanding users. It will come with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution of 1,612 x 720 pixels of resolution. The IPS LCD panel will sport a refresh rate of 90Hz. The display has slim bezels at the sides and top. However, the chin is quite thick, as usual for this price range. Interestingly, this is a low-end smartphone with a punch hole at the center for the selfie camera. The phone mostly follows the design language employed in its predecessor with a matte finish for all the color options.

Helio G85, 50 MP main camera, and 5000 mAh battery in Tow

Under the hood, the Moto G24 will be equipped with the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, built on a 12nm process. The Helio G85 comes with 2 x ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, 6 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. The chipset is a bit old at this point, especially with the 12nm fabrication process which is less power efficient than modern chipsets. However, for the pricing point, this will still be a decent option. The processor can handle most tasks like social media apps, web browsing, and media consumption without any issues. Gaming obviously will depend on the games, but casual gaming shouldn’t be an issue with this hardware.

Gizchina News of the week

Moto G24

The Moto G24, as usual in the low-end field, will come with a micro SD card slot for further storage expansion. The handset will launch with Motorola’s My UX based on Android 14 straight out of the box. The Lenovo-owned brand will sport a dual-rear camera setup that comprises a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The main will be paired with a 2 MP secondary macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will be equipped with an 8 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. Unfortunately, there is no ultrawide camera, but that is a common issue for this pricing range.

The smartphone measures 163 x 75 x 7.99 mm and weighs 180 grams. The phone’s fingerprint scanner will sit on the power button. The connectivity features will include dual Nano-SIM support, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0. The Moto G24 will come with a huge 5,000 mAh battery and fortunately charging will be decent at a 20W rate. Motorola will equip the smartphone with Dolby Atmos for audio tuning.

Pricing

The Moto G24 will launch in a single variant with 4 GB of LPDRR4X RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. It’s an affordable smartphone with a price tag of €169. Some consumers will not consider this a very affordable price for the specs offered here. We expect the price to vary depending on the market and region. The handset will sell in Black, Pink, and Green Color options.

We expect Motorola to share details about the launch and its availability in the coming weeks.
