Samsung Galaxy AI Launch

A few days ago, Samsung officially released the Galaxy S24 series flagship mobile phones. One of the selling points of this series is that it is the first to come with the new “Galaxy AI” feature. Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy AI will roll out to older 2023 models in the first half of this year. According to ET Telecom, Samsung Electronics President and MX Business Head TM Roh said that the company is committed to applying Galaxy AI to approximately 100 million Galaxy mobile devices worldwide this year.

Roh also said that despite the higher cost of developing Galaxy AI, these features will remain free to use until 2025. Samsung has not announced subsequent charging plans and stated that “it will not consider monetizing the Galaxy AI business this year, but will focus on allowing more users to experience AI functions.”

Roh also said:

“According to our analysis, the demand for mobile AI is diverse. Therefore, there will be consumers who are satisfied with using AI functions for free. However, there may also be customers who want more powerful AI functions and can even purchase them for this purpose. So we will take all of those factors into consideration in future decisions.”
