The Honor Magic6 Pro made its official debut in China last month. This flagship camera smartphone is now planned for a global debut. It will be stepping outside the domestic region at the MWC 2024 event, which is scheduled for February 26 to 29.

For those who missed the initial launch, the smartphone is a proper successor to the Honor Magic5 Pro. And it’s not just because of the upgraded Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Honor has also packed a very robust camera setup on its new flagship. To showcase its imaging capabilities, the company has partnered with Cecilia Berder.

Cecilia Berder is a fencing World champion and Olympic silver medalist. And if you don’t know, fencing is considered one of the fastest sports. Flash-like complicated techniques in fencing that are hard to capture. Even professional cameras struggle in this regard. Honor Magic6 Pro, on the other hand, managed to pass this test with flying colors.

Motion Sensing Capture 2.0 Makes Honor Magic6 Pro Much More Capable of Capturing Fast-moving Subjects

The Honor Magic6 Pro comes with an improved Falcon Camera system. On the Magic5 series, this camera system already came with a lot of optimizations. That’s one of the reasons why the Magic5 Pro is still among the top 10 camera smartphones on DXOMARK’s list.

On the Magic6 Pro, the Falcon Camera system brings many Pro-grade camera features. Among them is the Motion Sensing Capture 2.0. As you can see from the photos attached below, the smartphone can perfectly capture Cecilia Berder’s fast movements.

Honor could offer this pro-grade camera feature by upgrading the imagining and shutter speeds of the cameras. As for Autofocus, the Honor Magic6 Pro comes with an SMA motor. It boosts the focus speed, allowing the smartphone to offer an enhanced sportography experience.

The Honor Magic6 Pro also has an improved AI algorithm. It helps to detect motion and automatically capture multiple frames. The phone then allows you to select the perfect shot from them. Another aspect that makes the camera smartphone shine is its high light sensitivity.’

It’s combined with improved dynamic range, long-range vision, and dynamic visuals. All this makes the Honor Magic6 Pro take photography speed to the next level.

The Sport Portrait Algorithm of Honor Magic6 Pro Takes Things Even Further

Honor has also packed the Sport Portrait Algorithm into the Magic6 Pro. It enables the users to take perfect portrait shots of the fast-moving scenarios. The algorithm helps to bring natural bokeh effects to these shots. That is hard even for complex, pro-grade camera equipment.

On the software side, the algorithm of the Honor Magic6 Pro takes multiple captures. It then fuses them into one picture. While doing so, it optimizes the background frames and the portrait. So, the final output offers a high level of detail.

Moreover, the Magic6 Pro utilizes fast and accurate focus and motion detection. These two allow the algorithm to capture moving portraits with reduced motion blur. The smartphone also has sports portrait segmentation and binocular depth estimation.

With these two, the Magic6 Pro can adjust the background precisely. So, the final output comes with a natural bokeh effect. The telephoto lens and wide lens also take their part in this matter.

The Honor Magic6 Pro can also ensure a realistic level of light and shadow. Its algorithm calibrates the multiple frames and perfectly stitches them together to retain all the information. This brings an accurate depth of field as well. The smartphone is basically a pro-grade sportography device that you can fit in your pocket.
