According to the latest reports, Apple might be planning to refresh its Airpods lineup this year. There has been a lot of demand from Apple to bring something new to the Airpods lineup. Not only are we expecting new models for the regular AirPods, but also for the long-neglected AirPods Max. Let’s check out the latest report to get a better idea of what Apple might be cooking.

The report from MacRumors has suggested that Apple will finally refresh the AirPods lineup this year. According to the analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will be launching a lower-cost AirPods. The Foxconn subsidiary will be one of the suppliers behind these Airpods. Moreover, the analyst also says that the ramp-up is expected by late 2024 in India.

Previously, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed that there will be two 4th Gen AirPods models for this year. This includes the model numbers B768E and B768M, where ‘E’ stands for ‘Entry’ and ‘M’ stands for ‘Mid-tier.’ With the latest report coming from Pu, there is a possibility that he was talking about the B768E model as the lower-cost AirPods.

Gurman revealed that both the 4th Gen Airpods models will have a new design that will focus on a better fit. Moreover, it will have improved sound quality. The analyst also predicts an updated charging case with USB-C support. While the mid-tier model may also come with fancy features such as ANC and a speaker for Find My Location.

This is not all for Apple as the tech giant may refresh the AirPods Max. Pu suggests that the new AirPods Max will be released in the last quarter of 2024. Gurman previously suggested that the AirPods Max may not bring a lot of upgrades. It is expected to bring the USB-C charging port and new color options.
