Motorola has launched two new models globally: the Edge 50 Ultra and the Edge 50 Fusion. After a long wait, we finally have the official details of the new smartphones. Let’s check out the specifications, pricing, and other details regarding the new Edge 50 models.

Edge 50 Ultra Specifications

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra has a 6.7-inch FHD+ pOLED display. It has fancy features such as a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits of peak brightness level, and a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio.

On the performance side, the phone gets Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. For storage, the phone has up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage. The phone ships out of the box with the latest Android 14 with a Hello UI skin on top. The smartphone has a 4500mAh battery that can be charged quickly with its 125W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

Moving to the camera department, there is a 50MP OIS primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and 64MP telephoto lens with up to 3x optical zoom. On the front, the phone has a 50MP selfie shooter resting in a punch-hole notch. Coming to the colors, the Edge 50 Ultra has three color options. The Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz options come with a vegan leather finish while there is also a Nordic Wood option that is made of actual wood.

The Edge 50 Fusion is a watered-down version of the Ultra model. It has a similar display but with less peak brightness. The phone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate (120Hz for the Latin American variant) and 1600 nits peak brightness. It has a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The Edge 50 Fusion comes with different processors depending on the region. Europe, the Middle East, and Africa get the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. While the Latin American variant has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip. Otherwise, the two models have identical specifications. It has up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

In the battery segment, there is a jump from the Ultra model as the Fusion gets 5000mAh capacity. However, it only gets a 68W wired fast charging support. The Edge 50 Fusion comes with a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. The front camera is a 32MP sensor for selfies. Finally, the phone comes in Hot Pink and Marshmallow Blue colors with vegan leather. There is also a Forest Blue option with a Poly(methyl methacrylate) finish.

Pricing

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra price starts at EUR 999 (~$1061), while the Edge 50 Fusion is priced at EUR 399 (~$424). The company has not yet announced a specific release date but it is ready to go on sale in select markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania region in the coming weeks.
