iQOO Neo 9S Pro launches with upgraded flagship SoC but without a price bump

iQOO Neo 9S Pro

iQOO Neo 9S Pro is now official, and it comes with the latest Dimensity 9300+, the upgraded version of the Dimensity 9300. To look back, the non-S variant of the phone launched with the latter, and its starting launch price in China was CNY 3,000 (about $415).

Now, while the new Neo 9S Pro features an upgraded SoC, iQOO hasn’t increased the price tag. The latest flagship from the brand starts at the same CNY 3,000 tag. Of course, the global pricing doesn’t usually stay the same as in China. But if iQOO does bring it outside China, you can expect it to deliver an excellent bang for the buck.

But the Dimensity 9300+ Isn’t the Only Highlight of iQOO Neo 9S Pro

The Dimensity 9300+ is definitely a big selling point of the iQOO Neo 9S Pro. However, it’s not the only highlight of the flagship smartphone. The company has paired the new flagship SoC with the Q1 chipset. This in-house chip promises to improve gaming performance. It does that by delivering a stable frame rate and doing some other optimizations.

Speaking of which, the GPU of the Dimensity 9300+ is the same as the one on the 9300. So, don’t expect to see a performance jump in terms of gaming. The new chip improves the APU and the CPU, which means the Neo 9S Pro can better handle resource-intensive apps.

Besides, the Neo 9S Pro comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Both of the standards are flagship-grade. On the front, the device has a 144 Hz screen that can deliver 1260 x 2800 pixels resolution. It’s a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 20:9 aspect ratio, which should lead to a better viewing experience.

Other highlights include 50 MP cameras on the back, a 5160 mAh battery, and 120W fast charging. iQOO is yet to announce its plans to release the Neo 9S Pro to the global market.
