Motorola has unveiled a new mid-range phone for the US market, the Motorola Edge 2024. This phone offers several features found in flagships. And what’s more interesting is that it offers all that at a competitive price point.
Curved Display and Powerful Performance of Motorola Edge 2024
The Motorola Edge 2024 boasts a stunning 6.6-inch curved P-OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. This “endless edge” display delivers a smooth and immersive viewing experience. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. It is paired with 8GB of RAM. This combination ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks and even some light gaming.
One of the key upgrades over the previous model is the battery. The Motorola Edge 2024 packs a massive 5,000mAh battery. This is a significant jump from the 4,300mAh battery in the 2023 version. Coupled with the efficient processor, this should translate to excellent battery life.
Additionally, the Edge 2024 supports 68W fast charging. This will lead to a 50% battery charge in 15 minutes. The phone also boasts 15W wireless charging. This is a feature that’s missing from its international counterpart, Edge 50 Fusion.
Camera System and Other Features
The camera system on the Motorola Edge 2024 is no slouch either. You get a 50 MP main camera, which is the Sony Lytia 700C sensor. It comes with optical image stabilization (OIS) for capturing sharp and clear photos. This primary sensor is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide-angle camera. It can also double as a macro camera. The front-facing camera boasts a 32MP sensor for high-quality selfies and video calls.
Motorola’s new phone runs Android 14 out of the box. It also offers features like IP68 water resistance, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. While there’s no headphone jack, the phone does come with stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. This means you can expect an immersive audio experience.
Price and Availability of Motorola Edge 2024
The Motorola Edge 2024 will be available in the US starting June 20th for a competitive price of $550. You can buy it from Motorola’s website, major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy, or select carriers.
