Honor unveiled the Honor X50 in July last year with compelling specifications. More than a year passed since this series’ latest update, so the X50 is certainly due to a successor. A recent leak suggests that now, more than a year later, Honor is planning to launch the Honor X60. The device’s front design and key specifications were revealed during this leak.
The new leak shared by a Weibo user includes an image of the Honor X60’s About phone page. Here we can see the phone with a flat screen, unlike the curved display of its predecessor. The new Honor X60 will also feature a punch-hole cutout on the front, which seems bigger.
Honor X60 Specifications
The Honor X60 features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC, while its predecessor is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. Both chipsets use a combination of ARM Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores. The Dimensity 7025 features 2 x 2.5 GHz ARM Cortex-A78 cores and 6 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores. For comparison, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 had 4 x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 cores and 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
On paper, the Snapdragon could perform better than the Dimensity 7025 but this is only due to its 4nm manufacturing process. That does not necessarily mean a superior performance on real-world usage. The higher clocks on Dimensity may give it an advantage in certain areas. Moving on, the device ships with 12 GB of RAM with up to 256 GB of Internal Storage. On the software side, it runs MagicOS 8, based on Android 14.
In terms of optics, the leak reveals just a 108 MP main rear lens with an f/1.75 aperture. There is no information about the additional lenses. On the front, it has an 8 MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Everything is kept on by a huge 5,800 mAh battery with support for 35W fast charging. The battery and charging speed are the same as the Honor X50. You can expect a 50% charge in just 30 minutes. Despite the large battery the phone is 8mm thick and weighs just 189 grams.
