Nothing Phone (3) is Coming in July with Premium Materials and Major Performance Upgrade

Nothing Phone (3)

Nothing has been teasing their upcoming flagship, the Nothing Phone (3),  since the last month. The company’s CEO Carl Pei revealed that the handset would arrive in the third quarter of this year. This was quite vague as it could indicate anytime between July and September. Today, the brand is confirming the best scenario for those anticipating the device – it will come in July.

Nothing Phone (3) Confirmed for July

Nothing went to X to confirm that the Nothing Phone (3) will arrive in the first month of Q3 2025, most precisely in July. The teaser says that “3” is a Magic number and confirms the month. Unfortunately, the teaser didn’t drop an exact date. But could it be July 3rd? After all, the teaser says that “3” is the magic number. Perhaps it refers to more besides the phone’s generation, but this is mere speculation at this point.

Thanks to previous teasers, we already know the Nothing Phone (3) will be priced around £800. It’s not the cheapest of flagships, and in fact, puts the phone in a distinct market that has the iPhone and other, more expensive flagships. That price is about $1,070/€950/INR 91,530, considering current exchange rates.

That information also came from Carl Pei. He further confirmed the phone would come with “premium materials”, “major performance upgrades”, and “software that really level things up”.

The “Major Performance Upgrade” Could Indicate the Use of a Newer Flagship CPU

To recall, the Nothing Phone (2) arrived with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a flagship SoC from mid-2022. Considering this, the Nothing Phone (3) could sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from 2023 and already be considered an upgrade. However, there is still room for surprises like the beefier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 from last year. Also, we don’t discard the chances of Nothing finally equipping it with the year’s flagship SoC – the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Phone (2)’s launch price was around $699, so with the price, we suppose there is room for using a newer flagship SoC.

Nothing Phone (3)

At this point, Nothing is no longer trying to convince as a new smartphone maker and is consolidating its presence even in the mid-range market. So the Nothing Phone (3) could mark a new era for the brand. As far as design is concerned, we don’t think that the brand will take major departures from its “cool-looking” transparent design with the GLYPH leds. We may see an evolution but not a major overhaul. Also, Nothing OS will continue being one of the most interesting aspects of the smartphones. We believe that next month will be flooded with teasers building hype for the new smartphone. The company’s CEO has a lot of experience when it comes to building hype.
