Honor is prepping a refresh to its entry-level smartphone series, and thanks to a new leak, we now have an early look at what’s coming. The Honor X6c, poised to replace last year’s X6b, has just surfaced in full, complete with renders and a spec breakdown.
Familiar Form, Fresh Touches
At first glance, the X6c doesn’t stray far from its predecessor’s design. It keeps the squared-off frame and the familiar square camera bump on the back. But flip it around, and you’ll spot one noticeable change up front: the old waterdrop notch is gone, replaced by a more modern punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. There’s also something new on the side—a dedicated AI button, placed on the left. According to the leak, this shortcut will trigger built-in smart features like AI Eraser, a tool that sounds a lot like the object removal options found on higher-end devices.
Color choices? You’ll have three to pick from: Green, Black, and White.
Display, Specs, and Performance
The Honor X6c isn’t chasing flagship specs, but it brings a couple of upgrades where it counts. It features a 6.61-inch TFT LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate—a welcome bump for smoother scrolling—even though the resolution stays modest at 720 x 1604 pixels. The phone also carries an IP64 rating, giving it some protection against dust and splashes.
Under the hood, you’ll find the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, a 4G chipset aimed squarely at the budget-conscious crowd. It’s not blazing fast, but it’ll get the job done for basic tasks and casual use. The X6c will run on Android 15 with Magic OS 9.0 on top.
Cameras and Battery: Functional and Focused
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main shooter, joined by a QVGA sensor that likely handles depth or macro duties. On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie cam tucked into the punch-hole.
Powering all this is a 5100mAh battery, though some regions might see a slightly larger 5300mAh variant. Either way, 35W fast charging support means you will be good to go in just a few minutes.
