Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite gets a new 512GB variant

Galaxy S10 Lite

While everyone is talking about the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra with its insane hardware and software features, Samsung still has plenty of other smartphones in the market. While the last year’s flagships are still there with constant support, the company also released a new Lite variant late last year for both S10 and Note 10 devices. The Galaxy S10 Lite originally came in two memory flavors – 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. Today, however, Samsung is adding a third combination with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of Internal Storage.

The new model was announced in India and retails for INR44,999 ($625/€565). The new memory combination will go on sale in the country from  March 1 through Samsung’s official India site. It will also be available via Samsung Opera House and other leading online retailers as well as retail stores.

We know that some will consider this price point a step for a smartphone with last year’s specs. After all, we’re now seeing the first devices with Snapdragon 865, and in the near future they will be cheaper than what Samsung is charging for this Snapdragon 855 smartphone. You can still go for the 128GB storage variant with 8GB RAM. It retails for that costs INR39,999 ($555/€500). Curiously, Samsung didn’t launch the 6GB RAM variant in India.

The Galaxy S10 Lite carries the Snapdragon 855 SoC and sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED Plus display. Moreover, the device comes with a triple camera setup lead by a 48MP unit. The handset draws power from a 4,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
