iOS 14 keeps alerting, TikTok has stopped accessing the system clipboard

TikTok

According to media reports, Apple iOS 14 comes with a new privacy protection function. This feature reminds the user when an application reads the clipboard. Some TikTok users upgraded to iOS 14 and something very creepy happened. The system kept mentioning that they would access the clipboard every few seconds. This actually happens when the user tries to type anything. Since then, TikTok said it will delete the feature.

TikTok said in a statement to The Daily Telegraph that it accessed the clipboard to identify spam.

For TikTok, this is triggered by a function that recognizes repetitive spam behavior.Ā We have submitted an updated version to the App Store and removed the anti-spam feature to eliminate any potential confusion.Ā TikTok is committed to protecting the privacy of users and is transparent about how our applications work.

According to MacRumors, presently, the TikTok update is with the App Store, and downloading the update confirms that TikTok no longer accesses the clipboard.

TikTok is controversial but its revenue keeps growing

TikTokĀ is probably one of the most controversial apps in the market. While this app is very good in what it does, it has gotten some ā€œbad reportsā€ in recent times. However, this is not changing anything about its finances. In fact, its financial situation is increasing. According to recentĀ reports,Ā TikTokā€™s revenue in the US market is expected to reach $500 million this year.

The current development speed of the app in the United States and other regions is ā€œlike a rocketā€. It brings its own mobile video experience which is on a different level from YouTube and Facebook. Currently, TikTok is becoming more popular among American teenagers. The company said last year that it has 26.5 million monthly active users in the U.S. Out of this number, about 60% are between 16 and 24 years old. Under the leadership of the new CEO and former Disney executive, Kevin Mayer, TikTok hopes to translate this growth into billions of dollars in revenue. Last month, Mayer was appointed COO and Global CEO of TikTok. Over the past 20 years, Mayer has held a number of important positions at Disney and successfully launched Disney+, a streaming service for Disney.

Looking at TikTokā€™s revenue, about 89% of the revenue comes from the Chinese market. Interestingly, the US market ranks second, contributing 6.2% of the revenue. In the third position is the Turkish market, accounting for 1.2%. See the chart below for the complete list of the top 10 global mobile app revenues.
