Apple Expands Accessories for iPhone 17 Pro Series

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a bold new design, a powerful processor, and a 48 MP telephoto camera. But this year, the company is also putting extra focus on accessories.

Apple has launched a larger range of official cases and a new crossbody strap. The move signals Apple’s aim to take a bigger share of the case market. As you may know, in the past, third-party brands were the major anchor of this market.

New TechWoven Case

Leading the lineup is the TechWoven case, designed to replace the fragile FineWoven series. Made entirely from recycled polyester, the case is Apple’s most eco-friendly yet.

It has a textured TPU coating for better grip and supports MagSafe features and the new camera shutter button. Priced at $59, it represents Apple’s new standard in premium case design.

Silicone and Clear Case Options

Apple is also bringing back its classic Silicone Case, now made with 45% recycled materials. It features bright colour options and a smoother surface for $49.

A redesigned Clear Case is also available for $49, featuring a partially white back instead of full transparency. Apple claims this case is resistant to scratches and won’t yellow over time.

Beats-Branded Protective Cases

For those wanting more durability, Apple has introduced three Beats-branded cases. The Rugged Case, priced at $79, offers extra protection with thicker shock-absorbing edges.

The slimmer Beats Case costs $45 and uses matte-finished polycarbonate. Rounding out the lineup is the Beats Kickstand Case, which includes a built-in stand and removable wrist strap, selling for $59.

A Crossbody Strap for Hands-Free Carry

The standout accessory might be Apple’s new crossbody strap. Selling for $59, it allows users to carry their iPhone over their shoulder, eliminating the need for a pocket or bag.

The strap, made entirely of recycled PET fibres, attaches to the TechWoven or Silicone case and uses magnets for length adjustments. It can extend from 1.08 to 2.08 meters, making it versatile for all users.

A Bigger Play for Apple Accessories

Apple’s expanded accessory lineup shows its intent to take control of a market often dominated by third-party makers. The company plans to deliver an iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max that have eco-friendly materials, versatile designs, and a focus on function to its buyers.
