Apple Planning Thinner New New iPad for September Release?

The idea that Apple could be planning to launch an all new new iPad so soon after the iPad 3's release seems doubtful but that hasn't prevented rumors and claimed specifications making newspaper headlines!

Chinese media are reporting that Apple will launch a new updated iPad model featuring improved display technology later this summer in preparation for a September release date.

The report claims that the new iPad, the 4th version of the Apple tablet, will feature a 9.7inch display with all new indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) panel technology which will allow Apple's designers to create a much thinner Retina display iPad than the new iPad currently available.

It is also claimed that Sharp will be responsible for manufacturing the new thinner iPad retina displays as Apple shifts production away from Samsung.
