A fresh rumour claims that the
iPhone 18 Pro may get a major front camera boost. This news comes after a past
report in November said that Apple would upgrade the selfie camera on the whole
iPhone 18 series. Now, a new tip says the change may be kept for the Pro models
only. The tip comes from
Whylab and it claims the
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are both getting a
24MP selfie camera.
This matches what we've heard before and would be a solid
step up from Apple. Since we use the front lens for everything from video calls
to social posts, the jump to 24MP should make every shot look a lot sharper.
Better
Photos and Video Calls
A 24MP front camera should help in
more ways than one. Selfies may look crisper, with better skin tone and fine
detail. Video calls could also look clearer, which is great for work and chat.
Low-light shots may see a boost,
too. Many users take selfies at night or in rooms with soft light. A stronger
sensor can help bring out more light and cut down on blur.
It is not just about more pixels. A
new sensor often means better image tools and smarter image work behind the
scenes. Apple has long put focus on photo quality, so this move would fit that
trend.
Smaller
Dynamic Island and Fall Launch
There is more to this rumour than
just the camera. The iPhone 18 Pro line is also said to have a much smaller
Dynamic Island. Some parts of Face ID may move under the screen. That could
give users more screen space and a cleaner look.
Apple is set to show the iPhone 18
Pro and
iPhone 18 Pro Max in September this year. They are also set to launch
with the iPhone Fold.
As always, these are still rumours.
But if they are true, the iPhone 18 Pro line may bring one of the biggest front
camera jumps in years. For selfie fans, that could be reason enough to wait.
