The iFixit crew have got their hands and tools on the the latest iPhone have have ripped her to pieces!
The
Apple and
iOS device repair company who have become extremely famous over the past few years for tearing down
new Apple hardware came across a few nice ‘hidden’
features in the
iPhone 4S such as a slightly larger battery when compared to the iPhone 4 and a Qualcomm MDM6610 Chipset.
Other notes regarding the disassembly were that the iPhone 4S proved to be quite tricky to take apart and that Apple are still using tamper proof Pentalobe screws to discourage self repairs.
Oh and if you were to drop and smash your shiny
new iPhone 4S it will likely
cost much more to replace than the iPhone 4 would, due to the
LCD panel and glass being glued together and the fact that many of the internal components are soldered to one ribbon cable.
