Honor Magic8 Pro Set for Global Launch on November 27

Honor launched the Magic8 series in China in mid-October. Since then, many people abroad kept asking the same thing: when is it coming to other markets? Now we finally have an answer. The Magic8 Pro goes global on November 27, starting with Malaysia. It’s not the full lineup yet. Honor chose the Pro model to make the first step.

Malaysia Leads, Europe Seems Close

Malaysia gets the device first. Still, the rollout probably won’t stay limited for long. Honor hasn’t revealed dates for Europe, but the company tends to follow a familiar pattern. Usually, once the first international stop is set, European markets are not far behind. So the signs point to a launch there soon, even without an official schedule.

Pre-Order Window and Early Perks

Honor also set a short pre-order phase. From November 27 to December 4, anyone who reserves the phone gets a free Insta360 Ace Pro.

It’s a useful gift. Many people who travel, hike, or record casual clips will appreciate having a separate action camera instead of relying only on the phone.

A Small Change for Global Markets

There’s one difference between the Chinese and the global version. The Chinese model has a 7,200 mAh battery. The international one drops slightly to 7,100 mAh.

The gap is small, and in real use it won’t matter much. Still, it’s worth noting because battery size is one of the big talking points of the Magic8 line.

What the Magic8 Pro Offers

The Magic8 Pro sits firmly in flagship territory. It runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, one of the fastest mobile chips right now.

The display is a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED, 120 Hz, and extremely bright. Honor claims it can hit 6,000 nits, which puts it among the brightest phones currently available.

Honor uses three rear cameras. The highlight is the 200 MP periscope telephoto, designed for long-distance shots. Next to it is a 50 MP main camera and a 50 MP ultrawide with autofocus.
