Huawei's Richard Yu, has gone on the
record to say that
Huawei will have an all
new P Series
phone to
launch at
MWC next month, and it will be the world's thinnest!
Chinese smartphone makers have outdone one another for the past year launching super-thin Android
phones. First we had the Oppo Finder 3 at 6.65mm, then the Vivo X1 at 6.55mm and now the TCL S850/Alcatel
phone at just 6.45mm, but
Huawei are aiming for thinner!
In an
interview with
Engadget,
Richard Yu announced that
Huawei will have a
new thin
phone to
launch as a successor to the current P series range of phones. When asked if the
phone would be thinner than
Alcatel/TCL's 6.45mm phone Yu simply replied "Yes"!
As well as the
new P series phone, he also went on to say that
Huawei are also working on a
new 8-core CPU which will
launch in the second half of this year. This
octa-core chip is likely going the processor which will power the
new Huawei Ascend D3 and possible
Huawei Ascend Mate 2!
