Zopo’s officially Facebook page has been updated with an image of an upcoming smartphone that will use a
Mediatek MT6595 processor.
The race is on for Chinese smartphone manufacturers to launch a device running the latest Mediatek MT6595 processor. This time around it is a little different as the new MT6595 is a chipset which astonishing features that could finally be a viable alternative to a Snapdragon 801 processor.
The
rumour mills are full of
news attaching Meizu to the MT6595, it also looks as though IUNI could be using the processor too, but both of these companies haven’t actually come out and confirmed it.
Zopo on the other hand has.
Apparently the next flagship Zopo will run a 2.0Ghz version of the MT6596, with
LTE support and 3GB RAM. It remains to be seen if Zopo will jump on board the QHD display wagon or not.
While it is exciting to see new
phones in development, I am sure there are plenty of current Zopo smartphone owners who would much prefer the company work on ROM development and bug fixes.
