LG has released a major update to its LG Gaming Portal. The update brings a much larger game library to LG Smart TVs. With this update, LG is making it easier for users to play games directly from their TV, without the need for consoles or additional devices. The platform is becoming a relevant player in the field of cloud gaming.

The Platform Now Has Over 4,000 Cloud Games

The LG Gaming Portal now offers access to over 4,000 cloud games and more than 600 casual games. All these titles run directly on LG Smart TVs and can be played using only the TV and its remote. LG says this growth comes from new partnerships with game studios and content creators. The goal is to turn the TV into a simple and accessible gaming platform.

LG Gaming Portal Gets Popular Titles Like Just Dance Now and Asphalt Legends Unite

One of the newest additions to the LG Gaming Portal is Just Dance Now. The game is now available on LG Smart TVs running webOS 22 or newer in the US, Australia, Sweden, and Norway. More European regions will follow soon. Thanks to LG’s partnership with Ubisoft, players can dance along to popular songs without a console. The LG Magic Remote tracks movement using its motion sensors, allowing solo or group play.

LG has also partnered with Volley to add voice-controlled games to LG Smart TVs in the US. These include well-known TV game shows like Jeopardy! and original titles such as Song Quiz. Players use their voice instead of a controller, making these games ideal for groups and family play. Volley says its games have already reached more than 50 million players worldwide.
Racing fans are also getting something new. LG and Blacknut have added Asphalt Legends Unite in the US. The game is free, with ads, and provides players with access to all cars and tracks from the outset. You can jump into races instantly using only the LG Gaming Portal and a TV remote.
Another recent release is My Little Puppy, an adventure game published by Krafton. The game tells an emotional story through the journey of a dog and is streamed through Blacknut on LG Smart TVs.
To expand control options, LG has launched the LG Mobile Gamepad Wi-Fi app for Android and iOS. This app lets smartphones act as game controllers for supported titles, removing the need for extra hardware.
