During its major event at the CES 2026, Motorola introduced its latest bet in the foldable segment: the Motorola Razr Fold. The new model pushes the Razr legacy into the large-format foldable, or book-style, category. The devices bring a reinforced build with a premium rear finish. As usual, in Motorola's latest releases, it comes in Pantone-curated colors.

Motorola RAZR Fold: The Brand's New Take in the Foldable Segment

The new foldable slate comes with an 8.1-inch internal AMOLED display. The outer screen is a 6.6-inch panel. The external panel is designed for real-world use, allowing users to handle common tasks, read content, and watch videos without opening the device. When you open the device, however, you will get a complete tablet-like experience. The larger inner screen offers the better experience if you want to watch movies, play games, or read ebooks.

On the camera side, the Motorola RAZR Fold does not disappoint and even brings a powerful zoom camera. It has a triple camera system, and this setup features a 50MP LYTIA 828 main sensor with OIS. There is also a 50 MP ultrawide camera and a 50 MP periscope telephoto sensor (LYTIA 600). The periscope lens supports up to 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

For selfies and video calls, Motorola opted for a dual front camera approach. The external display features a 32 MP sensor in the external display for use when the phone is closed. Also, there's a 20 MP internal camera that handles captures when the device is unfolded.
The Motorola RAZR Fold runs Android 16 and includes a broad set of AI-powered features through the Moto AI suite. In a big show of commitment, the brand promises seven years of Android and security updates. It's a renewed long-term support strategy for Motorola fans. As someone who saw older Motorola releases, this is a significant shift from the company's past strategies.

It is worth noting that the brand didn't confirm the processor. But the rumors, so far, suggest the Motorola RAZR Fold is powered by the excellent Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. It delivers rock-solid 2026's flagship performance. It just falls behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. We believe Motorola opted for this chipset to keep the price of this phone at an attractive point.
