4 smartphones, 1 tablet added to Blu's 'Life' lineup

The Blu Products' Life series just got strengthened with the addition of 4 new smartphones and a tablet.

As always, the devices are aimed at low-cost smart-device seekers. The devices -- Life One X, Life One M, Life Play X, Life Play S and the Life View Tab -- are spread across the spectrum with varying specifications. The Blu Life One X now spearheads the smartphone lineup with a 5-inch 1080p display from Sharp, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor 2GB RAM and a 13 mega-pixel/5 mega-pixel camera department. Sporting an aluminium-clad body, the phone retails for $269 and $299 for the 16GB and 32GB variants respectively. The Life One X will come in Steel Blue and White colour variants.

Moving ahead to the Blu Life One M, the device features the same 1.5GHz quad-core processor, body and front camera as the Life One X. The phone can be regarded as a cheaper version of the Life One X, with a 720p panel taking place of the 1080p one on the Life One X. The rear camera too gets knocked down to 12 mega-pixels from the 13 mega-pixel on the Life One X. Priced $199, the Life One M comes with 4GB on-board storage.

Blu Life Play also gets 2 refreshed variants to contend with. The Life Play X and the Life Play S are what we're talking about; both come in with 4.7-inch 720p panels. The Life Play X features the same 1.5GHz quad-core processor as the Life One X and Life One M, along with 1GB RAM, 8 mega-pixel rear, 5 mega-pixel front cameras and 16GB storage. The Blue Life Play S is priced $219.

Playing sibling to the Life Play X is the Life Play S, which comes with the same camera, memory and screen configuration as the Life One X, but a slower 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 4GB ROM. This enables Blu to offer the device at an attractive $199.

Lastly, the tablet we spoke of. It's the Blu Life View Tab which features an 8-inch 1024 x 768p display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5 mega-pixel front camera, 8 mega-pixel rear camera and 16 gigs of storage. Featuring Blu's two favourite colours, the Life View Tab comes in Steel Blue and White along with 2 GSM variants.
