Well I guess if you are of a certain age - like myself- and know the history of Nokia, then this news article could bring a tear of joy to your eye. Nokia (or HMD Global in any case) seems to have registered the N Series name for trademark, at the relevant office of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) in China!

If this is true (yes, it is) then it could point out that HMD Global (or Nokia) plans to "revive" the iconic brand name of the N Series family, that basically owned more than 70% of the markets around the world 10 years ago. It's one of the most successful lineups in the glory days of the Nokia brand, with unforgettable smartphones like the N70, N90 and N91, N71, N80 and N92, N72, N73, N93, N75, N95, N76, N77.

The first N Series model was unveiled back in 2005 and was running Symbian OS, supporting futuristic technologies of the time, like 3G/WiFi and Bluetooth. The N Series lineup was replaced (unfortunately) by the not that successful Lumia lineup and we all know where this led.
In any case, if you're a hopeless romantic like myself, this news article could brighten up your day, especially if it - eventually- becomes a reality sometime in the near future.
