Chinese manufacturer
Voto have released the
WCDMA version of the Voto
X2, a $130 version of the
flagship UMi X2 smartphone!
Voto are a large
OEM manufacturer of phones here in
China and one that many smaller brands rely on to product their phones. Last year UMi and Voto parted ways leaving the Voto factory with the rights to the UMi
X2. It didn’t take long for the company to reinvent the phone as a mid-range Xiaomi Hongmi slayer costing just 798 Yuan!
The
Voto X2 takes everything we loved about the UMi X2, the
stylish design and good built quality, but has removed some of the more expensive components so the
retail price can be significantly lower!
The 5-inch display is now a 720 HD model, the
rear camera is an 8 mega-pixel sensor rather than the original
13 mega-pixel and the processor is the much newer
quad-core MT6582 chipset (which we actually prefer over the MT6589T). Other highlights include 1GB RAM, 2 mega-pixel front camera, 4GB on internal storage, 2500mAh battery, and dual SIM support.
The
Voto X2 is on sale through the officially Voto website in
China, international customers will need to keep an eye on resellers to get stock.
