The wait for the
POCO F8 series is almost over, and fortunately, we already know what to expect. The new flagships will be based on existing devices from the
Redmi K90 series, and even the design is the same, including the presence of the jeans-like variant. POCO confirmed that both devices will launch globally on November 26 and, as usual, key details are being revealed in a gradual form as the launch approximates. In a recent post through its
X's handles, POCO confirmed the POCO F8 Ultra will come with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the POCO F8 Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

The POCO F8 Ultra will also come with a dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset. It is said to offer improved details and AI Super Resolution. The brand already confirmed the design of the two new smartphones that resemble the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max. The F8 Ultra will retain the 2.1 speaker system, including a separate woofer at the back with sound tuned by BOSE.
POCO F8 Ultra - A Rebadged Redmi K90 Pro Max?
The POCO F8 Ultra is expected to be a rebadged
Redmi K90 Pro Max, so it should bring almost the same hardware. The Redmi K90 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch 2K AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit color, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and very fast touch response. It runs on the
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with the Adreno 840 GPU and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The phone features
HyperOS 3, dual SIM, and strong cameras that include a 50MP main sensor with OIS and EIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. It can record up to 8K video, while the 32MP front camera supports 4K recording.
You also get an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, an infrared sensor, IP68 protection, USB Type-C audio, and dual speakers tuned by Bose. The device includes full 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, advanced navigation systems, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1. The K90 Pro Max has a large 7560mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse charging.
As usul, the global version gets a small downgrade in the
battery capacity. The F8 Ultra will have a 6,500mAh battery, whereas the POCO F8 Pro has a 6210mAh battery.
When it comes to the regular F8, it comes as a rebadged Redmi K90. It may bring the following specs:

It's uncertain if the POCO F8 Pro is a 1:1 copy of the Redmi K90. It would also mean a smaller screen size compared to its predecessor, even though other areas would stay strong. In any case, we will wait for more details about the two new flagships. Redmi will likely spill the beans ahead of the release, so stay tuned.
