Redmi has replied to complaints about dust in the
K90
Pro Max rear speaker. The firm said the phone has a two-step protection plan: a
metal dust grill on the top and a fine mesh under it.
The phone has also
passed the IP68 test for dust and water, which means dust and splash can’t get
in with ease. If dust builds up in the grill,
users can clean it on their own.
Redmi
says users should use the built-in cleaning tool by asking “Xiao Ai, clean the speaker.” Users can also go to a care shop
where staff have gear for deep cleaning work.
New camera tools and layout
The Redmi K90 series also packs new camera tricks and a fresh look for
the camera app. The “Supermoon” tool now works on all K90 units. It turns on by
itself when the moon is in view at 20x zoom or more.
Redmi says the camera app has a
new menu plan that moves a few keys. It’s best to read the quick guide when you
open it for the first time. The “Supermoon” tool can be found in Settings → AI Smart Tips → Supermoon,
and it’s on by default.
Watermark revamp
The Redmi K90 camera also got a full upgrade for watermarks. Now
users can pick from sets like sport, check-in, film, and classic. Each lets you
tweak small parts like the border tint, frame spot, or tag art.
The tag can also hold time,
GPS spot, or lens data. This helps users mark their shots in style. To find it,
open the camera, tap the top bar, pick “Watermark,” then tap “More” to edit the
look.
In its concluding statement, Redmi stressed that the K90 Pro Max passed all IP68 checks, so
users don’t need to fear dust clogging or water harm. The double-layer speaker
guard is one more proof that Redmi wants both style and strength in its new top
model.
