Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra Shows Up on Geekbench With Dimensity 9500 on Board

Samsung's next big tablet is getting closer. And now we have benchmark numbers to go with the rumors. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has appeared on Geekbench under model number SM-X946B — a direct successor to the Tab S11 Ultra's SM-X936B — confirming this is the real deal. The listing doesn't name the tablet outright. The model number does the work for you.

This is the part that matters most. The Geekbench listing reveals a core cluster of one prime core, three performance cores, and four efficiency cores, with a peak clock speed of 4.21GHz — confirming the Dimensity 9500 chipset. That rules out the last two generations of Snapdragon flagships. Samsung is going MediaTek on this one. It's a significant move for a device that has historically shipped with Qualcomm silicon in key markets.

The Tab S12 Ultra posted 2,424 in the single-core test and 8,446 in the multi-core test — a modest but measurable improvement over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Not a dramatic leap. Enough to keep it competitive. The 12GB RAM shown in the listing matches the Tab S11 Ultra's base configuration, and a 16GB variant is likely coming too.

The Geekbench result covers the chip. The rest comes from earlier leaks. The Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, an 11,600mAh battery, and 45W wired charging. So the screen size and battery are staying put. That's fine — both were already excellent on the S11 Ultra.

Camera specs are tipped at a 13MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide on the rear, and a 12MP front-facing shooter. One design rumor worth flagging: a hole-punch selfie camera was speculated earlier. More recent leaks suggest that's not happening this year. So the current design language likely carries over.

Software will be One UI 9 based on Android 17, with seven years of Android OS updates and seven years of security patches promised. For a premium tablet, that's exactly the commitment buyers should expect.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Tab S12 series around September, if the usual release cycle holds.
