Samsung Galaxy Update Roadmap Leaks: One UI 8 Stable Rollout Begins Soon

Samsung 's Galaxy fans and owners, rejoice! The time for the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 is almost upon us! Samsung is getting ready to launch the stable version of One UI 8. The update will bring the latest Android 16 version to several Galaxy devices that are already running the beta; the official rollout is just around the corner. A new leak has revealed when specific Galaxy phones, tablets, and watches will receive the update. The list is big and shows that Samsung, apparently, has addressed the issues that affected One UI 7's rollout. It seems that things will be faster for the new update.

Galaxy S25 Series Gets Its First

Obviously, the first devices in line are the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. These are Samsung's latest flagships, and as usual, are the first to get the treatment. They will get the stable update on September 18. A week later, on September 25, the Galaxy S25 Edge, the entire Galaxy S24 lineup, the Galaxy A56 5G, and the Galaxy A36 5G are expected to join the list.

October Rollout Expands Coverage

Starting in October, Samsung will begin rolling out One UI 8 to a wider range of models. If you own a Galaxy A or M-series device that is still under the update threshold, this is likely when you will receive the update. According to the leak, here’s how the schedule looks:

One UI 8's Initial Rollout is Limited to Select Regions

The leaked schedule mentions that the rollout applies to specific regions such as Asia. It does not cover every eligible model worldwide, and Samsung could still adjust the timeline as testing continues. However, this leak gives us hope about the One UI 8 update. It should be much faster than the rollout of One UI 7, which took several months. For perspective, Samsung was still rolling out One UI 7 to some devices a couple of months ago.
