MeiYing’s Tablet Hits a Home run with 1.3Ghz CPU, Dual Cameras and Great UI!

Chinese tablet makers seemed to have tablet hardware and manufactureing dialed and are now turning their talented eyes toward user interface tweaks.

MeiYing, a new name in tablets, has brought their new 8 inch tablet our to quite a fanfare! Boasting a great looking design and well thought out, and surprisingly high end, feature list, combined with a nicely unique UI.

Off the bat, the 8 inch tablet is hitting home runs thanks to a multi-touch capacitive screen, and a nice compact, 215 x 165 x 13.5mm, light (385g) design.

Bonus point are added for the dual, front 3 mega-pixel, rear 2 mega-pixel cameras.

And more plus points still, for the choice of colors (black or white) and included, Apple iPad 2 Smart Cover inspired, cover.

The inner guts are pleasantly well spec’d also, with a 1.3Ghz Rockchips CPU motoring along with 512mb RAM and 16Gb of built in memory. Also under the hood are not 1, but 2 batteries giving the MeiYing 5000mAh of battery life!

As with any tablet, or electronics device, the MeiYing would be nothing without a great O.S, and in this case MeiYing have done a great job of providing a custom version of Android 2.3, with some neat built in widgets!
