Vivo were rumoured to be launching the new Vivo
Xplay during an event held in Shenzhen, it now looks like
Beijing will see the officially unveiling and the
Water Cube is the venue of choice.
Vivo aren't the first domestic phone maker to
launch their new phone at the prestigious
Water Cube in Beijing,
Meizu unveiled the current MX2 there later last year, however the Vivo
Xplay looks to be on a whole different level that the
Meizu.
According to rumours the
Xplay will be
launched on May 7th and pricing could be as low as 2999 Yuan ($483) which will definitely upset Oppo as the
Xplay boasts a very similar specification to the
Oppo Find 5, but with some notable updates.
The biggest difference between the Oppo
Find 5 and Vivo
Xplay is the CPU, the Oppo uses a quad-core Snapdragon S4, while the
Xplay is rumoured to run the newer, and more powerful
Snapdragon 600 quad-core chip.
From the
leaked photo above, the
Xplay also appears to be thinner and have narrower screen bezels than the Find 5, which could make it more appealing not to mention more comfortable to use.
