Yesterday we reported how the
Oppo Find 9 might finally becoming a reality, now a teaser from
Vivo hints at a possible Vivo Xplay 5S launch.
For whatever reasons they might have had, both Vivo and Oppo chose to take a year off from flagship
phones last year. The last flagship we saw from
Vivo was the Xplay 3S, which happened to be the worlds first 2K smartphone and the first Chinese smartphone to come with a fingerprint scanner.
Although the Xplay 3S is 2 years old now it's still an awesome phone, but there is no denying that there are plenty of more modern devices that are more desirable and a Xplay 5S is needed.
Vivo have hinted over on their
Weibo account that an Xplay 5S launch could be just around the corner. The teaser image shows a number 5 and text on the post states the phone will be 'fast' and 'unmatched'.
There is also an image of a curved phone part which we are lead to believe is a curved display.
Vivo are generally very good at keeping their upcoming phones a secret, however Antutu results from a
Snapdragon 820 powered phone a few weeks back hint that the Vivo Xplay 5S could have a 5.5-inch 2K display, 4GB RAM, 16 mega-pixel rear camera, 8 mega-pixel front and Android 6.0.
We wonder if Vivo might show the Vivo Xplay 5S off at MWC next week? Keep posted.
