As previously hinted, the Xiaomi 17 series will soon get a new member. Back in the last year, when the Xiaomi 17 series was presented, it brought a vanilla and a new Pro Max variant. This basically started the new trend among Chinese brands that copy Apple's Pro Max moniker used in the past year. The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max was the fancier and most interesting of the duo, but now, Xiaomi is preparing to launch a Max variant for the vanilla Xiaomi 17. The Xiaomi 17 Max is the fourth member (considering the Xiaomi 17 Ultra) of the family, and is set to come very soon.

Xiaomi 17 Max - The Biggest Battery Among Xiaomi Flagships

According to the leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Max will get the biggest battery among the Xiaomi 17 series. For perspective, the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has a big 7,500mAh and the new Max variant is set to launch with an 8,000mAh battery. This won't be Xiaomi's highest mark, since the Redmi Turbo 5 Max is rumored to bring a 9000mAh battery. But considering the flagship nature of this Xiaomi 17 Max, it's an interesting feat. If we consider the whole Xiaomi numbered series, even the old Mi flagships, this will be the biggest battery in this lineup's history.

The tipster Digital Chat Station, also brought some new details about this phone. According to him, the phone wil support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 17 Max will carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. The tipster also suggests extremely narrow bezels for the new flagship, although we have no clear picture of the display's size. Last but not least, the phone's camera island design will be similar to the vanilla Xiaomi 17. The phone will also have better sound quality.

When it comes to the optics, the Xiaomi 17 Max will add a periscope telephoto camera. Overall, the camera quality will be slightly above what the Xiaomi 17 can achieve. We don't know exactly when the new Max variant will arrive, but we expect more details to come soon.
