Leaded specifications and renders show the 5-inch, 1.5Ghz quad-core Gionee Elife E6 is coming very soon!
Chinese phone maker Gionee might not make it in to the headlines that often, but they are one of the larger phone makers here and their latest flagship device is on par with anything any rival company has to offer!
The Elife E6 will launch in China and India later this year and is already generating quite a stir thank to the high-end specifications which include a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 1.5Ghz MT6589T turbo processor, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

With these specifications the E6 will be taking on rival phones such as the UMi X2, Zopo C2/ZP980, iOcean X7 and FAEA F2.

i have waited for 4 months without a mobile but now i am eager to buy GIONEE E6 soon after its launch

Its launching around 10th july here in india and i think it will take away lot of the market from micromax canvas which doesnt seem to be having full HD screen even though both will be priced at around the same price..what do u think?
Yes I agree, and I’m not all that impressed with the Canvas 4 launch model which is basically give us some money and we’ll keep the full price and specifications a secret until the 8th of July!

They do make some very good phones (quality wise) and have already launched in a number of countries around the world.

Hmmm. Canvas 4 is going to dissappoint and Elife E6 is here to save us. I can’t understand MMX’s strategy to start pre-order without knowing anything, not even Sammy and Apple do that! LOL!

I really WANT a iOcean X7 Elite but I think it’s not Gorilla Glass. But it has 32GB internal storage, 2GB Ram, etc.
By now I’m happy with my Pulid Star S5. But as anyone I want always more POWER!
So with this new MT6589T release I was seeking for new candiates to be my new cellphone liek Zopo C2 (Uggly), UMI X2 (Uggly), Tianhe H920+ (As like as my Star S5) and now Gionee.
What would you suggest? It would be better me to wait more releases… or buy a new phone ’till July ends?
I think by 15th August the Indian Independence Day, we should be awash with 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 1.5Ghz MT6589T turbo processor, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega pixel front and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean phones – from N number of manufacturers- the differentiator will be BUILD QUALITY. Manufacturers WILL have to take a call on that..in case they want MARKET SHARE. I for one will hold on to my Galaxy Grand till something really GRAND emerges from the dust of the up coming battle of 5inch mobile in China.

In India still ppl crazy about MMX canvas4 & booking it madly, most of them even don’t know about Gionee brand even after they lunch truly with after sale service centers, why? They scared ppl with over price in case of D1. Now at least to become popular& beatout all others they must launch E6 with low price or few $ more only along with 2gb ram&ready to buy stock at all retail shops.If not ppl forget them permentelly.
Nothing about Battery of Gionee Elife E6. Its sold in India. They must realize that without a good Battery(3000 mah) of about 2 days usage and Music playing with loud sound such that friends also can listen, Indians will be reluctant to buy such a Phone.
Hi Andi – so am looking for an upgrade to my MMX A110 Canvas 2 – it MUST have 4×1.5 GHz CPU, 32GB storage with 2 GB RAM – what are the options available in India right now ? Or should I wait 2-3 weeks ? Zopo India says their ZP980 2GB/32GB/1.5GHz stock has already shipped from HK and will be available this Friday/Saturday – should I go for this, or wait for some other one ? In addition to these specs, I would also like a phone with optional ROM (non-OEM) builds. Your opinion / advice welcome !
Indians are waiting for 4G LTE-TDD & FDD both. Reliance has got a pan India Licence and shall offer it cheap. They pioneered Mobile revolution in India. So, its better to wait for 4G LTE, Rahul. You will get a flagship device for 15K.
