China Mobile starts accepting Xiaomi Red Rice Pre-orders ahead of launch

Someone at China Mobile in Guangzhou has jumped the gun a little and are already advertising pre-orders for the 999 Yuan Xiaomi Red Rice.

Xiaomi have yet to launch the entry-level Red Rice, currently the worse kept secret in the Chinese communications market, but overwhelming evidence, leaked photos and network license details and not a pre-order through the official China Mobile website point to the phone coming soon.

Gizchina News of the week

Today’s leak confirms some of the previous details including support for TD-SCDMA, a quad-core MT6589T chipset, 1GB RAM, MIUI V5 and a 999 Yuan price tag. The launch of the phone could be as early as the end of July or mid August at the latest.

Hi, Andi! What would you recommend: Xiaomi Red Rice, FAEA F1 or Vowney V5 Pro?

Hmm interesting choices. As I have not used the Red Rice yet I cant really comment so it would have to be the FAEA, with that said though I do believe the new Xiaomi is going to be just as good as the current phones and with the MT6589T CPU it will be a much more powerful phone than the FAEA
