Xiaomi introduces a new slim 5000mAh powerbank for $8

Xiaomi’s power banks have been selling well since they were introduced earlier this year, now a new model with thin body has been added to the mix which costs only $8.

The new Xiaomi power bank, announced earlier today, features the same design as previous versions but now which a much narrower body. The alloy body of the new Xiaomi battery is just 9.9mm thick, similar to some smartphones, and packs a 5000mAh battery inside.

Sales of the $8 (49 Yuan) 5000mAh battery begin in China tomorrow and as long as demand is not too high we should see international resellers advertising stock soon too. As with current Xiaomi battery pack you should also be aware that there are a lot of fakes and it won’t take long before this version is cloned too.
